This is my favorite picture because you cant tell what it is up close ,but when you look at it far awy it is simple to identify.The colors in this painting are very fitting and they help set the mood of.anouther reason why i like this painting is because it is composed of only lines but it still creates a real image.

Richard Estes
I chose this picture because the everyday life of people in the city and also you can see the cities mirror image.
This shows Photorisism characteristics by catching people, reflections, and also glass and metal apear to have a high gloss finish like in real life.

Robert Bechtle

This picture by Robert Bechtle is my favorite because it is very realistic and looks like a photo. The glare off the wooden table makes the picture come to life. Also the depth in the background gives the painting a real perspective. This picture is a common scene because the family is eating icecream at a picnic table. The reflection of the young boy in the table makes the picture look like a real photo.

Finis Coronat Opus by Charles Bell


This is my favorite picture by Charles Bell because it is very realistic and looks like a photograph. Its bright colors and reflection on the metal silver ball bring out the realism. The ball looks real like it would out of a painting. The lights in the background help make the painting look like it would in real life. Overall, this painting is very color with all its different colors and light values.

DON EDY
I researched Don Edy I found this picture of photo realism i think it is the best because of the reflection and it actually looks like a store on the street because you can see the people and the city in the background, it looks realistic, the colors resemble and old time store and also the prices that are drawn on the signs are very cheap so you can tell it is dated, i thought that was very interesting. It also has good contrast and highlights.

I like this one of the most out of his work because i like the subject of the river. This demonstrates photorealism because there is depth, and because the color gets lighter as it fades into the distance.

This is my favorite because it shows so much realism, depth, and emphasis. Everything is perfect and it looks like a picture instead of a oil painting. The way it shows characteristics of photorealism is by the depth. It look three-dimensional and the reflection of the telephone booth makes it look real.

I liked this painting by Roberto Bernardi because it looks like you are actually looking at a candy machine. The characteristics that make this painting look like photo realism would be the glare from the glass and the detail throughout.

Out of Marilyn Minter's work I like this one the most because it's sparkly, and it's unique. And I like the perspective of sticking a tongue out.
The charactersitics of photorealism seen here are
it looks three dimesional, facial features look realistic, becuase it is the actual color of skin and tongue and the consistency of reflections are right on on point.

I like this painting by Ralph Goings the best out of his other paintings because it is very realistic & represents the actual colors of the objects in real life. This is a good example of photorealism because it shows good proprtions & it its obvious what the objects are. The objects are also placed in a creative way.

This picture is cool. This picture shows photorealism because this motorcycle has chrome.

I like this image because the highlights in the painting are very intriguing. This shows photorealism because you can see images off of the hubcaps. There are highlights and realistic colors as well.

I like this one over Flack's other owrk because I like the colors, and the fruit. This shows photorealism because it has glare, and shadows.

Chuck Close
I chose this drawing over all the other ones because this drawing apears to be the most realistic and interesting. I like how you can see the eye in detail zoomed in and also in relation to the painting. I also find it interesting how you can see the scale of the painting with the people in front of it.
The characteristics of photo realism i see are depth, form, colors, shading, and highlights.

i chose this one over his other paintings because it has the most colors and it is interesting and it is not boring and it looks 3 dimensional.
the characteristics of photo realism that are seen here are highlights accurate colors, the reflection of the glass and the shininess of the gumballs.

I chose this picture out of all of Richard Estes paintings because, it's interesting and has good depth.
This shows photorealism because, it has a lot of details that make it look more realistic, it also has good perspective and shows the glare from the sunlight, in the distance the details get harder to see as they would in real life.

I like this sculpture the most because there is alot of detail in all of the arms and hands.
This demonstrates photorealism becasue the colors match what they would really look like and also because he made the old man sloutching like someone really would do if they were old.
